I will say when I ride my bike I'll use the sidewalk or the road, whichever has less people on it and I always give pedestrians the right of way, and I give cars the right of way since I'd rather not get run over. In fact bikers rarely piss me off on normal roads.
The ones that piss me off are the faggots who bike at 2 miles per hour in the middle of the road when I try to go for a drive in the hills. So I end up having to go to the hills at night if I wanna drive fast.
IMO you're better off getting a couple used bikes, if you were willing to spend $1500, you can definitely get a couple nice bikes well under $750 each. That way you'renot buying from china or some shit company, your money is going to a local person, and that's 2 less bikes that have to be made and shipped here with the environmental damage that causes.
Plus you can save a lot of money and if you get a bike that needs a tune up you can do it with your kids and teach them.
