It's still their right to vote. Making it hard for one group to vote and easy for others just makes the vote less democratic and fair. There are tons of people who aren't able to get time off work to be able to vote... they don't deserve to lose their vote! Their choice should still count.
The problem with the US right now is the political system has gotten lazy because it's leaning on unfair systems like this. There are too many areas where conservatives haven't bothered trying to convince liberals because "oh they won't get out and vote anyway". Someday those chickens will come home to roost and we won't be prepared for it.
No World Of Warcraft chat automatically changed "lol" to "kek" for some unknown reason and it caught on.
EDIT: someone explained in another comment that it was due to filtering between factions.
