Nothing “eerie” about it. The Mid Terms were the test run for the 2020 General. Look at the date of the EO. It was signed a few months AFTER the Mid Terms. Trump + team noticed what they did, they noticed how the Dems cheated with the mail in ballots and got away with it because no one was really paying attention since Trump wasn’t on the ballot. And you know how the Republicans generally are... they don’t really fight back. Trump knew they were going to use this exact same method in 2020 so he quickly signed the EO. Sure enough, the Dems did. It’s going to be a very interesting few days/weeks.
