- place a barcoded serial number sticker on the ballot when it first enters the counting pipeline. The number of registered voters is known, so stickers can be preprinted in sufficient quantity. barcode includes date and polling location.
- Full color image the ballot front and back.
- Initial image and all following actions on the ballot are recorded and streamed in realtime.

- invalid
- curable
- countable
- contested
- two tallymen, from opposing parties must agree on disposition, else 'contested'. tallymen recorded as part of ballot record.
