He did not free any slaves in the North. Only the dumbasses that were in Rebellion. Had those southern states stayed loyal to the Union, they would not have lost their slaves through executive action.

I respectfully disagree, Mr. HillaryBeaverMunch, this statue was put up in 1909, right smack in the middle of a Lost Cause push across the country. It was a stick in the eye to our beloved Union, and a reaffirmation of Democrat white supremecy. This statue has no place in polite society, or the public square of this free nation.
