I remember watching that video on reddit. Unsurprisingly, all the comments pointing out that you shouldn't apply a tourniquet for such a minor injury were heavily downvoted and all the top comments were stuff like "omg, such a hero" and "you saved his life". As usual all the reasonable, intelligent comments were found under "controversial"
Legitimately could have been the best show of all time.
I agree, it really could have been. I can only think of 1 or 2 times an ending made the show unwatchable for me. GoT and How I Met Your Mother. Both shows were great, until the end when they just said "fuck it, we're done" and rushed out the worst writing you will ever see.
However, the runners wanted to quit and go ruin Star Wars some more so they burned everything to the ground in season 8.
If I remember correctly, the reaction to the finale was so bad, several of the future projects they had lined up to film later got cancelled because those guys are basically toxic and radioactive now, nobody wants to work with them.
Yea, I was reading about Portland earlier today. Apparently, even after rioters tried to burn down the place he lives(with many people and families still in the building), the mayor is STILL saying he is on their side.
In that same article, it mentioned that a riot was declared after they tried to set fire to the place and like 17 arrests were made. It also mentioned dozens of arrests have been made over the last several weeks but no prosecutors will bring charges so they just get let go.
I read earlier today that the mayor of Portland, even after rioters attacked his home and tried to set the place on fire(with many people and families inside), he STILL "stands with the protestors" or something like that.
Until recently, when I saw that new netflix "cuties" thing, I genuinely thought people were joking or just fucking around when they said things like that. I genuinely didn't think it would turn out to be true. After seeing the marketing for that movie, and all the reddit comments straight up condoning it, I'm convinced. I actually saw people argue on reddit that the movie is a good thing, it is AGAINST the sexualization of minors, but they had to sexualize the minors to show how bad it is.
I still remember reading about Detroit during the 2016 election, when Jill Stein called for several recounts and one of them found that more people voted in Detroit than registered voters. Not sure how it all turned out, other than the recount got canceled immediately after that was discovered.
I don't know about "normies" but I'm definitely tired of it myself. I'm generally fine with some woke stuff in movies, tv, and videogames. My main problem with it, is that recently it has gotten so bad it is affecting the story/plot of the movie, tv show, or videogame. They are injecting so much woke shit that the story no longer even makes sense.
For instance, I recently tried to give the newer seasons of Doctor Who a try. I really wasn't a fan of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, but I really tried to power through hoping it would eventually go back to how good the show used to be.
I gave up when they went back in time to when Rome ruled the British Isles, and there was literally a black, gay roman centurion and all the people in the past were totally okay with that. It just makes no sense in the context of where/when they are, just shoving woke shit in wherever they can and hope nobody notices that it doesn't make sense. Also, it seems I'm not the only one that got tired of it, since the later seasons have some of the worst ratings in the show's entire 60 year run.
That was hands down my favorite one. Reporter talking on camera saying things have been peaceful, while there is literally a building on fire right behind him. Or were you talking about another "mostly peaceful" moment? There have been so many.
conservatives are nice, supportive people who just want to live their lives freely.
Not just that, they want OTHER people to be able to live their lives freely too. They just don't think YOUR life should be shoved down OTHER people's throats. Or that other people should be forced to tip-toe around you, and not say things you don't like. Guess what? Everybody else has to deal with the occasional asshole saying things they don't like, why should you be protected by unconstitutional laws limiting other people's speech?
20 year old with a gun that shot at the police first.
I was reading a thread on a post about the law making it a felony to assault people for enforcing masks. No lie, someone made a comment about how much looting happened in Chicago, and the mask thing is what makes the top of the news sub, and some guy replied quoting the article that was linked basically saying "of course it was caused by trash police tactics" even though the guy shot at the police first, them shooting back was "trash police tactics"
"I wanted to just have a normal fucking conversation with my parents because I miss my family."
I guess he doesn't realize he is the only one stopping that from happening. I'm sure your parents would love to sit down and talk with their son too, unfortunately you make that impossible by doing shit like that.
Yea, the day I learned about Claudette Colvin(who, of course, is never mentioned in school) changed my entire perspective on the civil rights movement. I was taught in school about Rosa Parks, MLK, the bus boycotts, and all of this was presented as the reason segregation was struck down. As an adult doing my own research, I learned about Claudette Colvin, Aurelia Browder, and Susie McDonald working their way through the court system all the way to the Supreme Court, which is what actually beat segregation. I never onced learned about any of these people, or their court case, in school.
For me it is the shotguns I always watch. I will sometimes find myself counting how many times they pump it before firing again. pumps shotgun as he picks it up rousing inspirational speech pumps again "Let's do this!!!" pumps a third time while charging in shooting
I've never made a meme before, so I don't know how people usually pick which template. If anyone has any tips, or a better idea for template let me know and I'll re-do it or someone better at it can. Saw the post about Portland on reddit and couldn't resist.
there'd be special prisons
Screw that, we need to STOP putting people who harm children in special prisons. Put them in gen pop like they used to. Even the worst of the worst murderers, serial killers, etc. all agree on one thing: don't fuck with kids. Now they have started separating them into protective custody and guarding them 24/7. Some states have even built prisons solely for child molesters and similar crimes, and that practice needs to stop.
This is why I'm a cat person.
