SO MUCH FALLACY. The military was not the only choice - a large number of folks decided to "TrUsT tHe PlAn" instead of actually organizing and doing something. Anyone that tried to point this out and discuss contingencies, well... they were labeled "doomers" when they attempted to bring it up.
