I live in Michigan. I don't wear a mask, except to the doctor, the dentist and to grab fast food. In the cases of the medical settings, I think it's appropriate since people there are already sick. In the food industry, they're taking a real hit already so I try to be polite. But I get accosted in the grocery store and just keep walking. I don't make my kids mask up anywhere either. We refuse to wear them at church. I don't know when I'll see some of my siblings again because they're so freaked out. I've lost friendships. I'm just glad my husband's work is super based and won't be requiring the vaxx or encouraging masks for anything but state mandated jobs.
I've heard that more important than state is area. So if you are in a rural area, the people there will be non-compliant with masking orders, more likely than not. If you're in a big city, you can be in Florida and still have mask nazis everywhere. Wherever you are, do you have access to a more rural or conservative area where you can support the movement?
What would you do to get involved?

I would say dumb because she didn't put 2 and 2 together. I wouldn't personally believe the vaccine did it 100%, but you can bet I would blame myself if it happened to me, because you never know.
Covid 19 is not dangerous to pregnant women. So it's ridiculous that pregnant women are getting vaccinated.
Yeah, I'm a mom and the shutdown has seriously changed my daily life with my kids for the past year. But it just means I'm fighting harder against things like cabin fever and depression, and reaching out to make new friends with shared values. There's a lot of suck out there, but I do everything I can to live my life as I used to, and to do that with my kids too. They are 6 and younger and they get it. They aren't afraid of getting sick at all but are kind to those who are. I think we're handling it well! My kids are definitely flourishing during this time, but it makes my heart go out to those kids who aren't as fortunate and have been isolated for the past year!

As adults, it's too easy to give up on doing more than caring for our own when everyone else is too busy at Jimmy's baseball practice to think about their neighbor.

Yes, I concede the point. Also, I'm a lady. Additionally, I hold myself to impossible standards and am constantly criticized for it and told others can't be expected to do the same. I am realizing the truth is that others WON'T do the same. But maybe I'm taking a black pill and feeling defeated about now - people won't take off a mask, how can they be expected to put their career on the line?
